Park City Mountain Resort LogoAfter a wildly successful 2013-14 season in which it enjoyed its second biggest season for skier days in history, while celebrating its 50th anniversary, Park City Mountain Resort begins a new era, under new ownership, when it opens for 2014-15 winter operations November 22 – its traditional Saturday-before-Thanksgiving opening. New this winter, Park City Mountain Resort is the most recent addition to the Vail Resorts family. The resort’s most visible change this winter will be its inclusion in Vail’s Epic Pass, which sets the standard for multi-resort season passes. With PCMR’s addition, Vail’s Epic Pass now includes 22 resorts and more than 32,000 acres of terrain stretching from the United States to Europe and Japan. PCMR is included in all four Epic Pass options, as well as the Park City Canyons Youth Pass and the Park City Canyons 4-Pack. Park City Mountain Resort integration with the Vail Epic Mix smartphone app will be in place for the 2015-16 season. Epic Pass details can be found at http://snow.com/epic-pass. Available Opening Day runs and chairlifts are conditions dependent and will be announced at a later date. Under its new ownership, Park City Mountain Resort is evaluating multiple opportunities for on-mountain additions and improvements, with announcements anticipated for the 2015-16 season.

Canyons Resort announced EpicDay Lift Tickets, an online and mobile platform to purchase daily lift tickets at the guaranteed lowest price (as much as 25 percent off the lead rate) revolutionizing the way guests will purchase tickets for two of Utah’s premier destination ski and snowboard resorts. “Today’s announcement establishes EpicDay Lift Tickets as the absolute best way to buy daily lift tickets for Park City and Canyons,” said Bill Rock, chief operating officer of Park City. “Not only will guests be getting the best deal, but the convenience of buying in advance or the day they show up will allow them to bypass the ticket line and spend more time doing what they came for – skiing or snowboarding.” EpicDay Lift Tickets break down like this: EpicDay Lift Tickets encompasses all advanced purchase lift ticket transactions, providing the lowest guaranteed price on lift tickets for Park City or Canyons (at the time of purchase). Details can be found at www.snow.com/epicday (This link will start working as of October 31). Lift tickets purchased at least seven days in advance can be discounted as much as 25 percent from the window price. More savings are available to guests who purchase multi-day tickets. Lift tickets purchased at least seven days in advance are not only guaranteed the lowest price but will also be shipped to the guest’s home so they can head straight to the lift when they arrive at the resort. Lift tickets purchased within seven days of arrival via online or mobile can be picked up at any ticket office EpicDay Express Ticket Pick-Up lane, allowing guests to avoid traditional ticket lines. Guests will be required to bring their order confirmation or credit card used for purchase, and a photo ID. Once the guest has the EpicDay Lift Ticket, they can add more days online at home or via mobile and go direct to lift, never standing in a ticket line again. “EpicDay Lift Tickets are just another example of Vail Resorts using technology to provide the highest level of guest service for Utah skiers and snowboarders,” said Rock. “We’re offering the best of all worlds.
