Are Your Property Taxes Too High?

Learn How to Appeal your Property Tax Valuation

Summit County 2017 and Wasatch County 2017 Tax Appeal Packages are now available. Please click here to request a packet.

Summit County allows a small window of time to appeal the valuation that they have assigned to your property before they send out your final tax bill. If you would like our assistance in helping you appeal your property tax valuation and in so doing lower your property taxes, you should to contact us right away. This year we are anticipating representing hundreds of property owners in lowering their taxes and we will do so on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please do not wait until the last minute to decide if you want us to appeal your property taxes. Applications sent in during the final days may not be processed if we do not have enough time to build a detailed and compelling case to get you a tax reduction. For this reason, I’ve decided to offer you an incentive to get your tax appeal application in to us early.

If we receive your completed tax appeal application on or before September 1, 2017, we will reduce the research and appeal fee to $169. That’s a $20 savings just for giving us more time to do the research necessary to get you the savings you're after. The deadline to submit an appeal is September 15, 2017. If you miss that deadline you’ll have to pay your higher taxes this year, and you won’t be able to challenge the assessor for another 12 months.

So please don’t wait! Decide right now if you think your property has been over-valued by the assessor. Then, decide if you want to do the research yourself or hire an appraiser for $500 to $750, and then get started building your case to present. Or, if you don’t have the time or data to fight your own appeal, simply turn the whole project over to us. We are experts with a proven track record of saving people thousands of dollars in taxes.

Even if you’re not sure if your tax assessment is out of line, you have nothing to lose asking us look in to it for you. If you don’t qualify for a tax reduction, you get your money back! Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Just don’t wait until the last minute; we don’t want to turn you away when you’re running out of time.

Click here to request the packet of forms for either Summit or Wasatch County. We will research comparable property sales as of January 1, 2017, carefully prepare an argument for your property value to be lowered resulting in your taxes being reduced, answer every challenge posed by the county assessor, and guarantee you results . . . or you pay nothing! BUT YOU MUST ACT NOW -- the assessor’s deadline is Sept. 15, 2017, and my deadline is even sooner!

Email your forms to, or fax the completed application to 435-487-9416.
